Honeymoon

I haven't given an update on my life for a long time. Let's just say the past year has been filled with many big events, the biggest of them our wedding.

:iconnatas7: and :iconangie6969: got married in September 22, 2007 ...just about 2 years after we met here on DA!

Now we have just returned from our slightly belated honeymoon in Tenerife. The two weeks we spent there were fantastic, full of adventures and enjoyment of the fabulous nature of this volcanic island.

I want to thank everybody who helped us to get this trip by supporting me at the photo contest last autumn. Your support was amazing and really touched my heart! :blowkiss:

Naturally, we took loads of photos on our honeymoon and we'll be posting them very very soon on both of our sites.

among the tidbits of "wisdom" --

* don't take life too seriously
* don't empower those little quirks/annoyances into relationship breakers
* appreciate the process of learning to love someone unconditionally - with NO strings attached to that love whatsoever ("just cuz" as I'm fond of expressing it) - there are a number of journal entries that convey some of the relationship with my wife I hold so dearly...you'll have to go exploring to find them.

Thank you so much for your wishes! 33 years together .. it sounds so amazing. I know it takes lot of patience, compromise and understanding to stay together for so long. But it's all so worth it, to have a person who really cares for you and shares your breakfast every single morning.

Belated happiness and smiles for your September wedding, too! May you enjoy the days, months, and years yet to find you two, as you discover the sharing of your lives, your time, your individual quirks and idiosyncracies. My wife and I are looking at year 33 as a married couple (actually, I think I'll plan something for about 122 days afyer the wedding anniversary: 33 1/3 brings good memories and music to mind, since we both still have those things called "LP ALBUMS" around the house.
